The Magic 2010 Core Set was released on July 17, 2009. The set consists of 249 cards. However, unlike the previous core sets nearly half of the cards are new. The 2010 Core Set brought back some of the old school Magic cards like Birds of Paradise, Black Knight, Serra Angel, and also is the first core set to include Mythic Rares. This set has changed the dynamics of both casual and competitive play so buckle up and get ready for the new and improved Magic the Gathering!
